Among different explants used in the present study, second node and shoot tip; second node was found to be best for multiple shoot regeneration in MS medium supplemented with 1.0 mg/1 BAP. After subculturing the multiple shoot and further by transferring single shoot to half strength MS medium containing different concentrations and combinations of IBA, IAA and NAA developed roots. However, the best response towards root induction was achieved on 0.5 mg/1 IBA was found to be suitable for root induction. The hundred percent establishments was achieved in a pot containing vermiculite medium compared to soil, compost and their combinations. The present results will be useful for successfully micrropropagating the hybrid-tea rose.
