Albizia lebbeck L. of the family Mimosaceae is one of the few fast growing trees successfully introduced and grown in semiarid regions of India. Gharyal and Maheshwari(1983) reported successful plantlet regeneration from hypocotyl explants of this tree legume. The present study was undertaken to compare the performance of different plant parts in in vitro culture and use the best explant and the best medium for clonal micropropagation of this usual tree legume species.
