Multiple shoots were induced from axillary shoot buds obtained from ten-year-old tree of Eucalyptus globosus on MS medium supplemented with dufferent growth regulators. Maximum percentage of explants formed shoots and highest number of shoots per explant were obtained from cultures grown on medium containing 2 mg/1 BA and 0.5 mg/1 NAA. Shoots were elongated on MS medium with 0.1 mg/1 kinetin and 0.5 mg/1 GA3. Of the regenerated shoots 65% produced roots half-strength MS medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/1 each on NAA and IBA.
