Solid MS medium with 0.25 mg/l GA3, 0.01 mg/l NAA 2.0 mg/l calcium pantothenate, 30 g/l sucrose and 7 g/l showed significant differences between different pH levels in respect of its ability to induction of rooting and shooting in plantlets produced from the single nodes of two cultivar potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) varieties after subjecting them with thermotherapy. Overall pH 5.5 was the best for all the traits. Low and high levels of pH from 5.5 were found to reduce the growth and rooting of single nodes. The reduction was more pronounced at low levels than high levels of pH.
