A system of in vitro clonal propagation has been developed in Citrus grandis (L.) Osb. Half strength MS medium supplemented with various concentrations of BAP and Kn was used to induce shoot formation from nodal and shoot tip explants of mature pummelo trees. Shoot induction percentage was high in 1.0 mg/l BAP. In the same concentration of BAP multiple shoots in the second and third subcultures increased six - eight times, respectively. Regenerated shoots were rooted in the same basal half strength MS medium containing 0.1 mg/l NAA. About 90% of rooted plantlets were established in the field after they were hardened.
