A rapid and clonal propagation of Anisomeles indica L. was achieved through direct axillary meristem proliferation from nodal explants of field-grown plant cultured on MS medium supplemented with BAP (2.0 mg/1) and NAA (0.05 mg/1). Regenerated shoots were transferred to rooting medium containing 2.0 mg/1 IBA. The rooted plantlets were hardened and successfully established in soil.
