Effect of Thidiazuron and BAP on Shoot Buds Differentiation from Excised Cotyledons of Brassica juncea (L.) Czern.

Abastract
A comparative study of the effect of BAP and thidiazuron (TDZ) on shoot bud differentiation from excised cotyledons of Brassica junea cv. PR-45 showed that the latter is ten times more effective than the former and in combination produces synergistic effect. At its optimum concentration (5 ? 10-4 mM) TDZ induced 100% regeneration with 7.4 shoots per cotyledon.
