After cleaning from virus diseases, high vegetative growth of the plants of indigenous potato cultivars was observed. Plant height increased from 59.3 cm for infected plants to 160.87 cm for virus free plants. The number of main stem, leaves and branches per plant were 4.8, 26.65 and 4.32, respectively in the infected plants and 12.13, 374.53 and 60.60 for the virus free plants. After cleaning from viruses, the plants did not produce any tuber while the infected plant gave 42.50 tubers per plant weighing 75.83 g.
