Sorghum bicolor, the sweet sorghum plant, belongs to the family Gramineae. The plant is one of the important food crops. Sweet sorghum is generally propagated through seeds. But the plant shows genetic variability through seed propagation (Elkonin et al.1995). Therefore, several in vitro studied have been made on Sorghum bicolor with reference to callus induction from matured embryos (Cai et al.1987 and Cai and Butler 1990). The aim of the present study is to find out the role of growth regulators in different concentrations and combinations (auxin naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and cytokinin 6-benzylaminopurine (BA) on S. bicolor in vitro organogenesis.
